Canada Day & Fourth of July

"Happy Canada Day and Fourth of July! Canada Day was July 1st. We had fireworks planned but we got rained out, so we postponed them until July 4th and the weather stumped us again. We were finally able to celebrate on the 7th, but it turned into a birthday celebration for Zach Evans from Kansas who was turning 16. It was a busy week at camp with everyone guiding. Dean, Carmon and Rob were guiding the St Clair group from Illinois. Drake was guiding the Evans group from Kansas. The St Clair group limited out on their walleye early and were able to enjoy throwing for Big Pike the rest of their stay. The fishing last week was phenomenal! The weather was good too, with only a few rain showers in the evening and night time. The water temp in the main lake is now about 71 degrees. We are fishing between 20-25 feet on the sunken islands, reefs and rock piles. We have also had some luck slip bobber fishing with leeches in the same reefs. This next week looks beautiful with no rain on the long term forecast. The water is steadily going down and today we are pushing in the docks."
