The opener has come and gone. The 2011
fishing season is underway. It started out rainy, but improved as the week
went on. The warm spring weather in the earlier weeks of May have driven up
the water temperatures. The water temp in the North Arm is already 64
degrees. The main lake water temp is around 58 degrees. Carter Lake proved
to be hot when Jack Frymire caught this nice 40 1/2" Northern. Royce Hall
caught this nice eye too. Dean was guiding the McClure group and caught
these nice eyes and smallies by Green Creek in the North Arm."
